Monument is a twice-yearly print journal of contemporary arts,
published in collaboration with n+1.
It is edited by Dushko Petrovich and Roger White, and designed by Project
Projects (Prem Krishnamurthy and Adam Michaels). James Bae was recently a visiting fellow in linguistics at the University of California, Berkeley. He lives in Los Angeles. J. D. Daniels has contributed to n+1, Kitchen Sink, and AGNI. Naomi Fry is a PhD candidate in English literature at Johns Hopkins University. She is working on a young adult novel, titled Thundercrush. Hilary Harnischfeger lives and works in Brooklyn. Megan Heuer is a PhD candidate in Art and Archaeology at Princeton University. She has written for publications including the Brooklyn Rail, Artnews, and Circa. Christopher Hsu lives in Washington, D.C. David Kearns is a painter and musician who lives in Vermont.Prem Krishnamurthy studied graphic design and photography at Yale University and completed a Fulbright Fellowship in Germany. He is an adjunct professor at the University of Connecticut, Storrs, and Parsons School of Design. Before starting his own Brooklyn-based graphic design studio, Adam Michaels was the Associate Art Director of Architecture magazine in New York and worked for design studios in Minneapolis and Los Angeles. Jason Murison is a curator as well as the current director of PPOW, NY. Among his exhibitions are "How I Finally Accepted Fate" at the Elizabeth Foundation, NY and "Escape from New York" at the New Jersey Center for the Arts. Peter Peri has recently had shows at Tate Britain and Kunsthalle Basel. He lives and works in London. Dushko Petrovich is a contributor to the Boston Globe’s Ideas section, Slate and n+1, where he is the art critic. He has exhibited his paintings in Denmark, Italy and the US. He is currently the Starr Scholar at the Royal Academy in London. Jon Pylypchuck lives and works in LA and Winnepeg. He recently became a father. Brian Sholis is Artforum.com editor at Artforum. He has written extensively on contemporary art.Katie Sonnenborn lives in New York City where she writes about art and performance. She works at Dia Art Foundation. Dan Torop lives in Brooklyn, and presented the photographs "Snowbound" at Derek Eller Gallery in June 2007. Roger White is a painter who lives in Brooklyn. He has exhibited his work in New York, Los Angeles, Marfa, and Tirana, Albania.
